It takes many volunteers to keep Schoolhouse Arts Center going! We can always use help! From cleaning the theater to sewing costumes... from donating paper towels to building sets... it takes many talented people to make it all happen!

Annual Meeting ~ Monday, Feb 24th

Mark your calendars! The Board of Directors of Schoolhouse Arts Center will be holding its annual meeting on Monday, February 24, at 7:00 p.m. at Schoolhouse Arts Center. We will be reporting on 2019, talking about upcoming goals. It is an exciting time at Schoolhouse! We hope you plan to attend!

If you are interested in being nominated for the Board of Directors, please let us know by February 21st at so that we can add your name to the ballot.

Help Us Raise Funds for New Curtains

Our curtains need to be replaced. We could really use your help to make it happen!

As with most theaters, ticket sales cover only a portion of our costs and our productions would not be possible without additional financial contributions from friends and patrons who value the arts. When it comes to improvements, like wireless microphones, we must raise the money in order to pay for it.

Schoolhouse's New Artistic Director

The Board of Directors is excited to announce that Zac Stearn has joined us as Artistic Director as of May 1st, 2018. Zac will work with in conjunction with the Board of Directors to oversee our box office, current offerings as well as to develop new programming and performing opportunities.

Bruce Avery Scholarship Fund

The Bruce Avery Scholarship Fund has been established in loving memory of Bruce Avery, who supported Schoolhouse for many years as a director, teacher, mentor and much, much more. Schoolhouse would not be the same without Bruce and his ongoing dedication and commitment.

The Blackbox Teens Are Making a Difference!

The Blackbox Teens is a community service group that offers teens an opportunity to make new friends while learning life skills. They are the driving force behind transforming an underutilized space into an official Blackbox theater with a full roster of shows!

Schoolhouse's New & Improved Theater

There has been a flurry of activity at Schoolhouse Arts Center!  We are excited to announce that we have completed phases one, two and three of our major theater renovation.  Our main theater now accomodates 150 people with a better views of the stage for every patron. Patrons now access the theater directly from the Gathering Room on the main floor and have the option  to utilize our new handicapped ramp that offer direct access to the theater. 

We have also replaced and relocated our heating system and completed our lighting upgrade to a new and improved digital system. We are now raising funds for a new sound system and a new curtain.  If you would like to contribute to Schoolhouse's New Theater Project, please click the button below:
