
Join the Schoolhouse Arts Center at Sebago Lake for the Maine Premier of "A Christmas Carol the Musical" Dec 3rd –Dec 19th. This is a magical adapatation of Charles Dickens's classic tale featuring memorable songs from Oscar nominee & Tony winner Lynn Ahrens and Alan Menken, the Oscar-winning composer of "Beauty and the Beast" and "Aladdin".
This beloved tale by Charles Dickens is full of holiday cheer and the wonder of the season. Directed by Linda Sturdivant with music direction by Sara Sturdivant and a cast of 40 of the areas finest performers, this show sparkles. Keith Halliburton plays the role of the miserly old Scrooge who learns the value of love after three ghosts: Ed Baldridge (Christmas Past), Kelsey Franklin (Christmas Present) & Shannon Mosey (Christmas Future)lead him on a magical journey.
"A Christmas Carol The Musical" enjoyed a ten year run at the theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The Schoolhouse Arts Center is proud and excited to be the first theater in Maine to present this exciting musical adaptation.
Come celebrate the holidays with Tiny Tim, Bob Cratchit, Mr. Fezziwig, the ghost of Jacob Marley, old Ebenezer Scrooge and a whole host of memorable Dickin's characters as they sing and dance their way through this timeless classic.
School House Arts Center is located on rte 114 just north of rte 35. "A Christmas Carol" will be performed from Dec 3-Dec 19. Friday and Saturday performances begin at 7:30pm and Sunday performances begin at 2:00pm. There is an extra 2pm matinee on Saturday Dec. 18th. Tickets are available by calling 642-3743.
