This summer, Sebago Lake will be alive with the Sound of Music , set to run at Schoolhouse Arts Center July 11-28. The cast is composed of talented local actors of all ages, featuring Kate Lotito of Portland as Maria, most recently seen in Steel Magnolias at Schoolhouse, and Steve Lupien of South Portland as Captain von Trapp, veteran of numerous Lyric Theatre & Portland Players musicals and past "Best of Broadway" performances in Portland. Other cast members include Terry Schkrioba from Windham as Rolfe, Keith Halliburton from Westbrook as Max, and as the von Trapp children: Kate Charak (Leisl), Mike Dupre (Frederich), Kate Downey (Louisa), AJ Verrill (Kurt), Nicole Avery (Brigitta), Clara Stickney & Cassidy Gaudet (Marta) and Samantha Avery & Alexandra Vayda (Gretl). The show is being directed by Bruce Avery of Standish, who received accolades from critics for his direction of last year's Deathtrap. Vicky Bradford of Poland will provide the show's musical direction. Vicky currently teaches music at PATHS in Portland. Performance times are Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 pm, and Sunday at 5 pm.
