The Schoolhouse Arts Center at Sebago Lake presents:
The Hobbit
Bilbo Baggins the Burgler

Oh, well, the art of burgling is really, you know, the art of being unobtrusive -- invisible, so to speak. The Schoolhouse is proud to present the musical version of "The Hobbit", which opens March 30, and runs through April 14. Under the direction of JERRY WALKER and stage manager DEB HILTON, the 50 cast members tell the story of Bilbo Baggins, a quiet hobbit, about to take the journey of a lifetime as he reluctantly joins rank with thirteen brave dwarfs intent on slaying Smaug, the great dragon of Lonely Mountain and finding their family treasure. With musical accompaniment of ALAN GARFIELD, the mighty dwarfs led by Bilbo Baggins, played by JACK SCANNEL of Steep Falls escape goblins and trolls who live in the overgrown forests and dark caves and find magical rings in the caves of the mysterious creature, Gollum, played by ERIK MONTY of Sebago Lake. MARK MILLER of Kezar Falls, as Gandalf, undoubtedly the greatest wizard in the world, manages more than a few times to help Bilbo save his troop of dwarfs as they search for their stolen family treasure.
