The Fantasticks is the longest running show in the history of American Theater.  It first debuted in 1960 and has played in more than 5,000 American cities and 50 foreign countries.  Audiences young and old seem to identify with the simple story of "a boy, a girl, two fathers and a wall."  Whether seen through the eyes of someone who has been there or someone on their way there, Americans love “The Fantasticks”.

This production features recently retired Bonny Eagle High School Drama Instructor, P. Michael Bourgoin as Hucklebee, father of the boy.  Jerry Walker takes on the role of Bellomy, father of the girl.  The boy is played by Gorham High School’s Trevor Lilly.  The girl is brought to life by Rachel Garfield of Standish.  El Gallo is portrayed by Jim Roberts of Gorham.  Comic relief is provided by Mike Harris and Jon Messana as Henry and Mortimer, respectively.  The cast is rounded out by Hannah Schraeter as the Mute.

This production is being directed by Bruce V. Avery, who serves on the SAD #6 School Board.  Musical Direction is provided by Alan Garfield.  Choreography is by Julee Applegarth. Schoolhouse Arts Center invites you to spend an evening with the words of Tom Jones and the Music of Harvey Schmidt as we learn about life, love and the wall.
